Please meet Justin Prough
A product of California, Justin Prough’s work reflects the struggle between sunny days, good waves and the political unrest of our times.
He strives to tell visual stories forged from contrasting ideas, materials and processes. He finds joy working in both the digital and analog realm and instinctively melds hand and digital painting, wood veneers, photography, toys, seashore debris and domestic objects into serene, bold and layered prints, sculptures and assemblages.
Shaping his work is an award-winning background in advertising, where storytelling is paramount. He feels that each of his pieces must tell its own story, while also furthering the conceptual goals of the series to which, it belongs.
