Four weeks on the full arc of putting a show together. Concept. Approach. The conversations between works. Scale, lighting, installation. Wall text, the opening, what goes wrong, and how to know when a show is done. Whether you are curating your first group show, building a solo exhibition, or thinking about curatorial practice, this month is for you.

Monday Masterclass: DecemberPlanning Your FutureEvery Monday at 11am PST on Zoom
Two weeks on the big picture. Lifetime vision and goals. One-year goals and the 90-day plan. Grants, inventory, archive, and legacy. How to close the year and open the next one with intention. This is the last month of Shoebox Masterclass in its current form and I want to make it count.

What comes next
Shoebox Arts as a membership program is ending. The work is not.
Starting in January I am stepping fully into my role as Executive Director of Art and Cake, our nonprofit arts publication. Art and Cake publishes weekly, pays writers at fair rates, and covers the Los Angeles art community and beyond. If you are not already following, come find us at artandcake.substack.com.
