What's NEW at Shoebox?!

Welcome.

You found us. Or maybe we found each other. Either way, I'm really glad you're here.

Shoebox Arts has been building something since 2014. Not a networking group. Not a class. A community where artists stop navigating the art world alone and start actually moving forward together. Over ten years that's what it's become and it keeps growing into something I'm genuinely proud of.

This newsletter is your introduction to everything that's available to you right now.

We Just Updated Our Website

We redesigned our website to make it easier to find exactly what you need. Whether you're looking for membership programming, free resources, writing services, PR and curation support, or our digital guide library, it's all organized and easy to find now. Take a look around and let us know what questions come up.

Something New This June

Monday Office Hours is now Monday Masterclass.

Every Monday at 11am PST we're shifting to something more structured and more useful. Each month focuses on a specific theme with guides, checklists, to-do lists, and clear outcomes you can actually apply to your practice. Sessions are recorded and included in your membership.

And we're kicking it off with something good.

Find Your Place: A 4-Week Cohort for Artists Every Monday in June, 11am PST

This one is for anyone who has ever felt unclear about where they fit in the art world, who their real audience is, or what success actually looks like for them specifically.

Over four weeks we'll work through:

Which art world you're actually trying to be in Who your real audience is What success looks like for you, not anyone else How to build a concrete roadmap for the next 6 to 12 months

Worksheets. Checklists. Group discussion. And by the end you'll have an actual plan. Not just more things to think about.

Included in your membership. Just show up.

Your Weekly Schedule

Monday 11am PST: Monday Masterclass (members) Tuesday 11am PST: Community Conversations (free and open to everyone) Wednesday 11am PST: Weekly Meetups, topics rotate each week and include accountability, co-working, book club, tutorials, and more (members)

Plus monthly: Guest Speaker Series, Critique Groups, and more.

You don't have to attend everything. Show up when you can and catch the rest later. All sessions are recorded and available to members anytime. All events are on our Google Calendar so you always know what's coming.

Not Ready for Membership Yet?

Tuesday Community Conversations are completely free and open to all artists, no membership required. It's a real conversation, not a sales pitch. Just artists showing up and figuring things out together.

Join us any Tuesday at 11am PST.

Need Support with Membership Costs?

I want Shoebox to be accessible to artists from all backgrounds. Sliding scale memberships are available for low-income artists, artists from marginalized communities, BIPOC artists, trans and non-binary folks, and artists with disabilities. Just reach out directly and we'll figure it out together.

3 Month Membership: $347 Includes live weekly programming, 200+ video library, the Collected Wisdom Library (53 guides covering every aspect of an art career), community access, and everything else. Cancel anytime after 3 months.

Questions about anything? Drop us a line. shoeboxartsla@gmail.com

Can't wait to see what we build together.
