What does a day in your art practice look like?
If I take pictures on location, such as a park or on the street, I will check the weather first. Is it good? Bad? Raining? Cloudy? When is sunrise or sundown? Then I pack my equipment. If it’s raining, I will bring the raincoat for myself and the cover for camera and lens.
What is your medium of choice? Why?
I do fine art photography, I shoot with film and print my work in the darkroom. I like traditional photography.
Why is art important to you?
I like to create art to convey what I think and what I feel. I like to visit galleries and museums, to see how artists express themself through their art work. It’s interesting and authentic.

What influences your work?
I was educated in Taiwan, studied History at National Taiwan University. When I moved here, I took many classes in City College. Both the eastern and western cultures influence my work.
What is the most challenging part about being an artist?
The most challenging part is getting opportunities to share my work in exhibitions.
What advice would you give your younger self?
To do art as young as possible.
What do you do to keep yourself motivated and interested in your work?
To keep passion in art, not only my self but also others.
What’s next for you in the future?
The next is to keep doing.
